Dear all, Here we are at our fourth round of communication. In Turin things are going on well; even during the Olympic Games (Torino 2006), Prof. Duranti has been working, together with Fr. Cambiaso, to arrange sports and logistic matters as better as possible.
SAVERIADI FORUM #4 Dear all, Here we are at our fourth round of communication. In Turin things are going on well; even during the Olympic Games (Torino 2006), Prof. Duranti has been working, together with Fr. Cambiaso, to arrange sports and logistic matters as better as possible. Our young athletes and their adult companions will be hosted in a village nearby Turin, Pianezza, a nice spot on the hillside, in a hostel run by the local Parish. The swimming races will take place in the swimming pool of our school, Istituto Sociale (http://www.istitutosociale.it/sportscentre/default.asp), and running races will be in a Sports Center nearby, called Parco Ruffini, run by the CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee). All races will have official referees and judges. Fr. Cambiaso is going to lead some cultural and spiritual animation too: during spare time there will be many occasions to visit the town, that is now really “shining” after the Olympic Winter Games. We have a deadline: the 12 of March. On or before that day we should be able to know, if not the names, at least the exact number of athletes and adults coming.
