Dear friends, here we are with our second round of communication. First of all, we want to wish you happy new jubilee year. It has begun on the 3rd of decem-ber, with a lot of celebrations all over the world to remember with the due care St. Francis Xavier, St. Ignatius and Blessed Pierre Favre.
In the last weeks we have started to get into more detailed matters of organization with the Saveriadi tournament.
Actually we’ve formed a brilliant team in Padua, for our Rugby Tournament. In this team we’ve a couple of persons of the Petrarca’s board: their name are Antonio Sturaro (
) and Matteo Farsura (
); we welcome then on board. They will take care of logistics concerning institutional relationship with the Pet-rarca Padova and the other institutions involved (City of Padova, Province of Padova, Re-gione Veneto etc...). They will work in strict collaboration with Luca Costantino and Mario Picech sj. We also have Giulia Bergamo (
) who will help the team. All these people are at disposition to answer specific questions.
Yesterday we came back from a three-days visit to San Pellegrino Terme, where we met the whole City Council, and the persons responsible for Tourism and for the local Community. San Pellegrino Terme is a very pleasant area, a beautiful valley in the mountains, located at 40 minutes from Bergamo and 1 hour and a half from Milan (you can see some photos at this link http://www.valbrembanaweb.it/valbrembanaweb/gallery/sanpellegrino/sanpellegrinoterme.html). Our young athletes and their adult companions will be lodged in a certain num-ber of hotels in different places of the valley; a service of buses will be provided for dis-placements. In the center of San Pellegrino we will build a tent of 400 square meters which will be the center of our meetings, with all the info points and the possibility of refreshment, sandwiches etc... We’re also organizing some moments of feast, events, spirituality and more... We think that people of the valley will be ready and willing to receive our athletes and welcome them friendly, with a warm italian acceptance.
One important thing: it would be appreciated if every team could bring some information (dépliants, posters ...) of the school and country represented. These leaflets could be dis-played in strategical points.
Last but not least, we ask you if it is possible to have the precise number and list of names of people coming on or before 28 February 2006 (in our next communication we will attach a form to be filled with the list of names). It is an important thing for us to know with a high degree of precision the exact number of people coming in order to see where and how to lodge them.
