 July 1st, Saturday. Welcome to Rome; teams will reach their lodges in the Capital. People will be hosted in two community houses, kind of hostels for pilgrims or for people of big conventions, in the area of the "Castelli"...
in the hillside just nearby Rome (Colli Albani). Once that we know the arrival schedule of any team (and we will request you to give us information upon this before April 2006), we will provide an italian group of scholastics jesuits and university students, with buses, to come pick up people at the Airport or Train Station and lead them to the lodges. For the whole period of the roman days there will be present a team with the specific charge of accompanying and stewarding people around.
July 2nd, Sunday. Morning: from their lodges all athletes and officials will head to the centre of Rome. There they will attend to Holy Mass presided by Fr. General in the church of St. Ignatius. Afternoon: free for touristic
visit to Rome. Evening: dinner and come back to lodges.
July 3rd July, Monday. Transfer to the sites of championships. Over there people are going to be lodged in hotels, school’s facilities or family houses, depending on the local on-place availability (you will receive specific communication on where and how people will be lodged).
July 4th-7th. Sports Tournament, in the sports fields and facilities of the place. Also in the sites of championship there will be a team composed by scholastics and university students to accompany our athletes and help them in any need, and for free-time animation.
July 8th, Saturday. Farewell to the championships places, transfer to Rome, back to the same facilities where students would be expected to lodge on 1-2 July. Evening in town.
July 9th, Sunday. Prizing, in an area of Rome which is called EUR, where Istituto Massimo is situated.
July 9th evening (or, in case of different schedule, Monday 10th). Departure. |
